About us
The HCI-Shop is part of the Central Administration (ZV) of the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences (D-CHAB). It is located at the campus ETH Hönggerberg since 2001.
Our focus is on the procurement of chemicals and laboratory equipment for the D-CHAB. Furthermore, all other departments and ETH affiliates can place their orders with us. Please find information about placing orders here.
The Central Administration provides in addition to the HCI-Shop 6 other services:
In addition to the HCI-shop our office for non-stock items places orders for special goods that are not available on stock in the HCI-Shop.
In the solvent tank farm, solvents are bottled in technical quality and in large quantities for our clients.
In the PanGas Store gas cylinders with standard gases such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, helium, etc. can be obtained.
The in-house HCI Post office coordinates incoming and outgoing mail, parcels and courier services for the entire HCI area.
The glass cleaning service is responsible for cleaning of used laboratory glass. The warehouse team is responsible for the receipt and storage of goods delivered them.
Our own repair unit ensures that defective vacuum pumps, rotary evaporators, heating plates, etc. are ready for use again without long interruptions in the laboratory.
